The European Conference on Arts & Humanities (ECAH) is now in its fifth year and is held annually alongside The European Conference on Media, Communication & Film (EuroMedia). Since 2013, more than 250 delegates have attended this annual interdisciplinary event, which takes place in the UK each summer.
In 2016, ECAH/EuroMedia attracted 88 attendees representing 34 countries – a truly international event. This diversity serves as a wonderful comparative and contrastive resource.
The majority of ECAH/EuroMedia conference attendees are university faculty, with 59% holding an academic post. At 24% of the total registered delegates, postgraduate and doctoral students make up the next largest group of attendees. The remaining attendees come from the public sector (1%) and the business sector (2%), with 2% registered as "independent" and 11% registered as "other".
