This study aims to assess the effectiveness of integrating constructivism theory and multisensory techniques in the learning of the Introduction to Literature course. The research background addresses the challenges associated with learning literature, which is often perceived as abstract and less engaging for first-year students. Constructivism theory emphasizes the importance of students’ active participation in knowledge construction, while multisensory techniques present learning experiences through diverse sensory modalities (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and digital). The research methodology employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a 25-item Likert scale questionnaire instrument. The respondents consisted of 100 first-semester students enrolled in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. Data analysis revealed an average overall score of 4.3 (high category), with 83% of respondents providing a positive response (scores 4–5). The dimensions of active engagement, comprehension of literary concepts, and appreciation and emotional intelligence all received high scores. The study’s findings support the efficacy of integrating constructivism and multisensory techniques in enhancing student involvement, comprehension, and appreciation of literary works. Consequently, the study proposes the development of a literary learning model centered around digital drama, audio-visualization of texts, and collaborative reflection. Further research on the long-term impact on students’ critical literacy and creativity is warranted.
