This paper explores how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance learning by integrating AI-powered grading and feedback platforms into educational practice. Instant feedback on grammar, style, and correctness, as well as detailed comments could significantly contribute to improving students’ academic writing skills. Traditional assessment methods often delay feedback and place a heavy workload on teachers. In constrast, incorporating AI-powered feedback platforms in English as a second language (ESL) classrooms could analyse student performance instantly and offer formative feedback, which facilitates teachers to track students’ progress. The research discusses the pedagogical implications of using AI for assessment among high school students. Hence, the paper discusses some practical ways of using AI-powered platforms in ESL classrooms to help both students and teachers identify opportunities for improvement and reflection. The research results demonstrate significant potention to enhance students’ learning and transform assessment practices. AI-generated feedback is perceived fair, and helpful by most learners. Besides, the findings reveal some challenges related to teachers’ readiness to adopt and apply AI tools in the classrooms. Consequently, the integration of AI tools could lead to improved learning outcomes and stronger student motivation.
