The study is aimed at evaluating the impact of the integration of gamification elements and artificial intelligence tools into the teaching process of the secondary school physics course on students’ learning motivation, cognitive engagement, and the quality of mastering the learning material. The main hypothesis of the study is that the systematic use of gamification and AI tools in the educational process contributes to increasing students’ interest in the subject and improving their learning outcomes. A quasi-experimental research design including pre-test and post-test was used in the study, and 169 students from secondary schools of the Turkestan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in it. The experiment was conducted over two academic terms. During the teaching process, gamification elements and digital educational resources (LearningApps, Quizizz, Gimkit, WordWall, Blooket) as well as AI assistants and interactive simulations (ChatGPT and PhET) were used. Data were collected through Google Forms surveys, observation of students, and analysis of their learning activity. The Jamovi software was used for data processing. In the analysis process, descriptive statistics methods, one-way ANOVA variance analysis, and multinomial logistic regression were used to identify the impact of gamification and AI tools on different aspects of students’ learning activity. In general, it was found that the use of gamification elements and AI tools increased students’ interest in physics by 35-45% and contributed to the development of their ability to complete tasks independently. The obtained results showed that gamification and AI technologies can be effective tools in teaching physics.
