Direct engagement with experimental research is vital for scientific education, yet access to advanced infrastructure remains globally limited. To address this, we developed Robiochemistry, a hybrid initiative enabling remote participation in nanomedicine research. The program allows students with minimal laboratory access to conduct authentic lipid nanoparticle (LNP) synthesis using an automated liquid-handling platform. The initiative attracted approximately 200 applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students. Selected cohorts from Vietnam and China navigated the complete research pipeline over four weeks—from molecular assembly and in vitro analysis to data interpretation. Using a web-based interface, students progressed from theory to autonomous research, writing custom scripts to control a robotic workstation in real time. The majority of participants successfully completed rigorous assignments and a final research project, rating the engaging format and material utility highly. By replacing passive simulation with active workflows identical to those used in industrial nanomedicine, the program bridged the gap between manual understanding and automated execution. To scale this impact, we developed the RbCh Digitizer, a prototype application that translates bench-top methods into robotic commands using AI. This foundation facilitates new educational upgrades and global outreach, demonstrating that automation can effectively extend high-level laboratory experiences beyond physical boundaries, fostering a more inclusive scientific community.
